The UMA would like to thank Dina AL-Qubtan for sharing her extremely interesting story of perseverance and determination at our weekly coffee. Dina was born and raised in Baghdad, Iraq. Her first job after college was as an interpreter for the U.S. Army during combat operations in Iraq. After the murder of her father she immigrated to the United States in 2008 and became a U.S. Citizen in 2015. Dina is currently working in the Office of Equal Employment Opportunity and Diversity.
“Thank you for giving me the opportunity to share my experience..” Dina said. “It was such a pleasure to meet everyone and I am glad I was able to deliver my message… it was such an exciting and rewarding experience.”
