UMA meets with DoD Warrior Games Representatives

Crystal Arriaga and Becky Wardwell, representatives from the Department of Defense (DoD) Warrior Games, joined the members of the USPTO Military Association during their weekly Coffee Break. This year the U.S. Army Warrior Transition Command will be hosting the 2016 DoD Warrior Games at the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York, June 15-21, 2016. The Warrior Games were created in 2010, to introduce wounded, ill and injured Service Members and Veterans to Paralympic sports. During the DoD Warrior Games, approximately 250 wounded, ill and injured athletes from the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Special Operations Command and the British Armed Forces compete in eight sports (archery, cycling, shooting, swimming, track, field, sitting volleyball and wheelchair basketball) in a display of courage and resilience. More information about the 2016 DoD Warrior Games can be found on their Facebook page.
